Dr. Gilles is an optometric physician, thrilled to be offering routine vision, medical and contact lens exams at Coulee Vision Center. With a passion for integrating holistic and medical care, she also specializes in evaluating and managing eye conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, eye infections, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Gilles earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2014 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney before moving to the Pacific Northwest. She received a Masters in Vision Science Research in 2017 and a Doctorate in Optometry in 2018 from Pacific University in Oregon. Following her schooling, Dr. Gilles obtained a Residency in Ocular Disease Management at the Veterans Association Health Care System in Roseburg, Oregon. After residency, Dr. Gilles took a position at nearby Spokane Eye Clinic as a Dry Eye Specialist and Primary Eyecare Provider.
Dr. Gilles is delighted to be returning to her rural roots and is finding Grand Coulee to be a perfect fit. She loves spending time with her family and friends hiking, scoping out local restaurants and singing karaoke. When not socializing, you can almost always find Dr. Gilles home with her cats and plants.

"Tam" has been in the health care field for over 16 years and enjoys taking care of our community. She possesses a vast amount of knowledge and was an easy fit, (especially since everyone seems to already know her).
She served as Mayor of Grand Coulee from 2000 to 2012, and as a City Council Woman from 2013 to 2021.
She and her husband, (Bob Byers) raised their son here and enjoy the many amenities of these rural towns.

After raising their 4 daughters (with Jeff, her high school sweetheart) she is an "empty nester," and back at Coulee Vision Center, where she worked as an Optician in the past.
Lisa has been around the medical field for most of her career, working as a Dental Assistant for 8 years, and a Veterinary Assistant for 8 years. She is most excited to return to an Optician for Coulee Vision Center.
Lisa is an avid seamstress (creating quilts for all their grandchildren) and culinary artist boasting the best dumplings in Washington State. Currently living in Grand Coulee, her heart is on the mountain in her cabin in Republic Washington.
